3rd Mhada Lottery draw for Mill Workers to be held in August 2016

Update: Mill workers protested today at Rangsharda hall in Bandra, mhada office demanding that the flats be allotted withing the Mumbai city itself and not on the out skits. The results of 3rd Mill workers MHADA lottery were announced today December 2, 2016 for providing affordable housing to mill workers. Mhada has constructed about 2,417 houses in Kone village, Panvel.

The third phase of the mill workers housing lottery will take place in December 2016, total number of flats to be aware is just 2,418 and the las two lotteries has 69,25 and 2634 flats respectively. Mhada lottery 2016 for Mumbai is also scheduled to be lunched in this month and extending upto June whereas result is expected to be somewhere towards the end of next month or early July 2016.

“There will be another lottery soon in August where the government will provide another 2,418 houses for mill workers, all in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, mostly around Panvel,” said Mehta

The mill workers who has not won in the last two lottery are eligible to apply online for the third draw result. At Monday’s draw, the flats were in the mill complexes of Bharat Mill, Western India Mill, Century Mill, Prakash Cotton Mill, Ruby Mill and Swan Mill Jubilee. Mill workers who formerly worked in any of the six mills, or their kin, were eligible to apply, each costing Rs 9.5 lakh. The lottery drew 18,703 applicants. –

“This state government is committed to helping all the mill workers and will work till the last mill worker gets his subsidised flat in the city.” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
